Wildlife the Foundation works to protect
Our Story

A quarter-century of giving wildlife a voice

The Frank Verney Foundation for Wildlife, Conservation, and Education was founded on the belief that people protect what they understand and love.

After more than 20 years of educating the public and caring for wildlife, Frank Verney established the Foundation to inspire others to become champions for our planet. Through hands-on educational programs, conservation initiatives, and community partnerships, we connect people with wildlife and empower them to make a lasting difference.

Guided by our three pillars, Wildlife, Conservation, and Education, we are committed to protecting species, preserving habitats, and inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders.

Together, we can be the voice for wildlife and create a more sustainable future

Frank Verney

Executive Director

Frank Verney is the founder and Executive Director of the Frank Verney Foundation for Wildlife, Conservation, and Education, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting wildlife, inspiring environmental stewardship, and connecting communities through conservation education. Guided by the belief that every individual can make a difference, Frank has built the Foundation around innovative programs that combine sustainability, education, and community involvement to create lasting conservation impact.

With nearly two decades of experience in zoological park management and wildlife education, Frank has devoted his career to inspiring people of all ages to become champions for wildlife. His background includes leadership in animal care operations, guest engagement, conservation fundraising, educational programming, and nonprofit development. He is passionate about creating meaningful experiences that encourage people to protect animals and the habitats they depend on.

Under Frank's leadership, the Foundation has launched initiatives such as Sneakers for Conservation, Books for the Wild, Ink for Impact, and Tech with Purpose, transforming everyday donations into support for wildlife conservation and environmental education. He has also developed educational programs including Critters Up Close, Snorkel & Learn, and The Conservation Academy, bringing hands-on wildlife experiences to schools, libraries, community organizations, and families throughout South Florida.

Beyond the Foundation, Frank is an active community leader and conservation advocate. He serves as President-Elect and Public Image Chair for the Rotary Club of Lake Worth Beach, where he promotes service projects and environmental initiatives that strengthen local communities. He also has a long history of involvement with the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK), supporting wildlife conservation efforts through education and fundraising.

Frank's vision is simple: to inspire people to become the next generation of conservation leaders by making wildlife education engaging, accessible, and impactful. Through partnerships, volunteerism, and innovative conservation programs, he continues to work toward a future where people and wildlife thrive together.

"Conservation begins with education, grows through community, and succeeds when we all choose to make a difference." – Frank Verney
